Q: Do you take any other payments besides PayPal?
A: Sorry, not at this time. However, we plan to accept other forms of payment in the near future.
Q: What if my swapping partner never sends the toy?
A: Report to Toy Swap, and if no delivery confirmation is provided, their membership will be terminated. Unfortunately, that is all Toy Swap can do - we are simply the venue. Swap credits can be refunded to you however at Toyswap.com's discretion. Please see our shipping details section as well for tips on how to avoid the problem. 99.99% of swaps are problem free however, as we help eliminate problem swappers constantly.
Q: What if the toy I receive has problems, doesn't work, or looks significantly different than described (or pictured)?
A: First, try contacting the swapper directly - they may have simply made a mistake, may offer a correction, a return, or simply a cash settlement. All swappers are expected to stand behind their toy and be willing to communicate and resolve problems. However, swapping is a two-way street. If they described all flaws in their description, then they have acted responsibly and are not at fault, and the other swapper should accept the toy (all flaws were disclosed). Again, we have offered a secure swapping option - see our shipping details to avoid problems.
Q. What if my toy cost more to ship to them, than theirs does to ship to me?
A. Both swappers agree beforehand to the type of shipping parcel or mailing priority and some items may cost more to ship than others. To equal this out, it is quite possible the item you receive is slightly more valuable than the item you are sending. On average, the cost to swapper is about the same. The wonderful thing is that you swapped an unused toy...and your child receives the toy they wanted. You can also negotiate with your swapper for perhaps an additional toy to equal out the weight and shipping cost.
Q. What if someone has priced their item too high?
A. There is nothing you can personally do, as everyone values their own toys. Try to find a swapper who has valued the same toy more reasonably. However, if you find a toy that is outrageously priced, simply contact us for resolution.
Q. What if I change my mind after I hit the "agree to swap" button?
A. Unfortunately, there is no refund from TOYSWAP once you hit the button - it is a firm committment. If you realize the toy is broken or is no longer available, you may notify us and we will notify your swapping partner immediately. If they have already sent their toy to you, you will be responsible for paying for the sent toy. Proof of that payment will be necessary to avoid removal from TOYSWAP. Please note the $1 fee (a swap credit) will not be refunded.
Q. What if someone changed their mind after they agree to swap, and I already sent my toy to them?
A. The recipient will be responsible for paying you the value of that toy. They will have to show TOYSWAP proof of delivery confirmation that they sent their toy, or a transaction number showing they paid you for the toy. If neither is provided, they will be removed from TOYSWAP. We have offered a secure swap option - please see our shipping section for more details.
Q. What if I see more than one toy from the same swapper that I want?
A. Swap or buy them all, when they receive a confirmation with the information, they can even ship the items together, perhaps saving you some shipping charges.
